Xbench 3.0 Build 1107: New Support for memoQ 6 Hand-off and Hand-back Packages

In Xbench 3.0 build 1107, a new file type has been added to Xbench, “memoQ File”.

This new file type is now the home for three memoQ file formats:

    • mqxlz, which was already supported in the “XLIFF File” type, but now the new type will become the default one. Existing projects with mqxlz files with the generic XLIFF file type will continue to work normally. The only thing that changed here is that when you drag and drop a mqxlif file into the Project Properties dialog, now the detected file type will be “memoQ File” instead of “XLIFF type”.
    • mqout, the hand-off package. For this format, Xbench loads the embedded documents and also any embedded off-line TMs included in the package.
    • mqback, the hand-back package. For this format, Xbench loads the embedded documents, which can be useful if you want to do a last-minute QA pass of all files right before your delivery to your client.

The new build is available for download from the Xbench website, www.xbench.net.

If you run into any issues with this new file type or have suggestions on improvements on how to develop it further, please do not hesitate to let us know!
