New Demo Video on YouTube: Using Checklists in Xbench 3.0

We’ve just posted a new demo video on our YouTube Channel. It shows how to use checklists in Xbench 3.0, which is probably one of the most valuable QA features.

If you learn how to use checklists and you apply them to your translation process, your clients will soon believe that you have photographic memory as you will be able to remember all their feedback!

As usual, for best viewing experience, please watch this video at full screen with the 720p HD quality setting.

Demo Video of Xbench Control Panel Posted on YouTube

We’ve just posted a demo video showing an example of how to use the Xbench Control Panel to manage your purchased years, by defining your Xbench authorized users and delegates.

We think that it will give you a better view of how flexible the Xbench licensing system is.

For the best viewing experience, please remember to set the video mode to HD in full screen.

Xbench 3.0 to be released on March 18!

The Xbench 3.0 beta is coming to an end, and we are happy to share with you that we have just set the launch date: March 18.

We’re pretty happy with the progress achieved over these 3 months, and most of all we are very thankful to beta testers for their useful contributions.

We’ll be still spending the next few days polishing things a little bit more, and we cross our fingers so that the upcoming official launch is as successful as the beta has proven to be.

Xbench Control Panel Available at www.xbench.net

We’re glad to announce the availability at www.xbench.net of the Xbench Control Panel.

The Control Panel uses the same credentials in Xbench, so if you already signed up with Xbench, you can use the same password.

Please note that to use the Control Panel you need to have purchased one or more subscription years.

With the Control Panel you can:

    • Add or remove authorized users. An authorized user is an email signed up in Xbench that you authorize to use Xbench.
    • Name up to 3 delegates. A delegate is an email signed up in Xbench that can manage your account for you, including adding or removing authorized users or naming other delegates.
    • Change your billing details for future invoices issued by ApSIC.

Please remember that your subscription years are assigned to the email who purchased them, so if you made your purchase with paypal@greatLSP.com, but your real Xbench users are john@greatLSP.com and mary@greatLSP.com, you will need to:

    1. Complete the sign up process for paypal@greatLSP.com. You can now create Xbench accounts directly in the Xbench Control Panel.
    2. Enter the Control Panel as paypal@greatLSP.com
    3. Remove paypal@greatLSP.com from the Authorized Users list.
    4. Add john@greatLSP.com and mary@greatLSP.com to the Authorized Users list.
    5. Optionally define john@greatLSP.com and mary@greatLSP.com as Delegates.
    6. Click Submit Changes to send the new account settings the server.

As usual, if you find any issues or have any questions regarding the use of the Xbench Control Panel, please send us your comments.
